These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the A Happy Pet Inc. website at ahappypet.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 16 years old to access or use the Site. This requirement exists because we are a business offering a paid service, not because the Site contains mature content.

The Site describes our pet care services, including dog walking, vacation and drop-in visits, house sitting, overnight care, and pet transportation. The Site itself is for information, contact, and account access. The services we provide are governed by our separate Service Agreement and by the rates and policies we publish. Nothing on the Site is an offer or a guarantee of availability.

Some features need an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your login details secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

If you access the member area as a client or as a contractor, you agree to the additional terms that apply inside the portal. We present those terms in the portal and ask you to acknowledge them through the to-do box on your portal homepage. The additional terms apply alongside these Terms.

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to misuse it. You will not interfere with the Site’s operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, copy or scrape its content without permission, upload harmful code, or use the Site to harass or harm others.

The content on the Site, including text, images, logos, and design, belongs to A Happy Pet Inc. or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal permission to use the Site for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, or reuse our content without our written permission.

The Site may link to third-party sites, such as our social media pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

We work to keep the Site available and accurate, and we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that the Site will always be error-free or uninterrupted. This Section is about the website. The standard of care for our pet care services is set in our Service Agreement.

To the extent Illinois law allows, A Happy Pet Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that arise from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that Illinois law does not allow us to limit, including liability for willful and wanton misconduct.

You agree to cover A Happy Pet Inc. for claims, losses, and reasonable costs that arise from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms. This does not apply to claims caused by our own negligence or willful misconduct.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using the Site, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the Last Updated date at the top of this page. If you have an account, we will also flag the update in the to-do box on your portal homepage, where you can review and acknowledge it.

Illinois law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state courts located in Lake County, Illinois, have jurisdiction over any dispute about the Site or these Terms.
